At the tender age of 13, he began his stock car career.  In August of 1997, McLeod won his first SLM race at Orlando Speedworld, making him the youngest driver in the nation to accomplish this feat.  McLeod also became the youngest driver to qualify and compete in an A.S.A. sanctioned race.  

From the moment I first sat behind the wheel of a go-kart, I knew racing was my calling. One of my earliest memories is racing against my father in our backyard track, a moment that ignited my passion for speed and competition.Another pivotal moment was meeting my mentor, who taught me the intricacies of professional racing and the importance of perseverance.
